Bully Proof
Everyone has been affected by violence, intimidation and bullying to some degree. How we choose to respond to it makes all the difference. Bully proofing is the process of transforming the bullied child or adult into an assertive, confident and compassionate person. With the exploration of wisdom concepts, students begin to see all adversities along with the bully's attempts at control, as an opportunity for personal growth. Our philosophy is about shifting perspectives. As children examine and learn to distinguish between illusion and reality, this enhances self-awareness while promoting personal safety. Through understanding bully dynamics and reflecting on personal insecurities and behaviours, children vastly increase their positive communication skills and confidence. As kids increase their awareness of how bullies operate and the ways that victims possibly attract bullies, practical strategies are taught that allow students to calmly deflect the aggressive and hurtful bully behaviours.
The way we handle the difficult times gives birth to our inner joy, which no one can take away. Once we know that self-worth and respect can never be damaged or destroyed without us giving others permission to do so, we begin our journey into true freedom.

Making our child's environments safe makes sense. However, in those moments where our children are in unsupervised areas, let's help prepare them from the inside out. When we coach our children to develop their self-esteem and self-love, they become less susceptible to the antics of the bully and are increasingly more assertive and happy.
